IAHR-APD special session accepted for the 2027 World Congress in Bari
The Division's special session proposal for the 42nd IAHR World Congress has been accepted, and an IAHR Water Monograph on regional flood resilience is under way.
The special session proposed by IAHR-APD for the 42nd IAHR World Congress in Bari, Italy, 28 June – 2 July 2027, has been accepted, as notified by the Congress Local Organising Committee on 3 June 2026. The open call for special sessions, workshops and masterclasses follows shortly, with the call for abstracts expected in October or November 2026.
Separately, an IAHR Water Monograph entitled Resilience against flooding and disasters including the effect of climate change in the Asia-Pacific Region has been accepted by the IAHR task force committee. First drafts are due on 30 September 2026, with review through the autumn and author revisions in early 2027.
Members are encouraged to take an active part in the Division's contribution to the World Congress.
