Executive Committee for 2027–2028 elected in Incheon
Prof. S. A. Sannasiraj was elected Chair and Prof. Sung-Uk Choi Vice-Chair, succeeding Prof. Norio Tanaka and Prof. Sannasiraj.
At its meeting in Incheon on 22 July 2026 the Executive Committee elected Prof. S. A. Sannasiraj (IIT Madras) as Chair and Prof. Sung-Uk Choi (Yonsei University) as Vice-Chair for the 2027–2028 term.
Under By-law Article 6.3 the retiring Chair, Prof. Norio Tanaka, continues on the committee in an advisory role for one term. The nomination of the Chair is subject to ratification by the IAHR Council.
Two new members join the committee: Dr Induka Werellagama (Wellington Institute of Technology, New Zealand) and Prof. Kenichiro Kobayashi (Saitama University, Japan). The full composition is listed under Governance.
